ATV

When I saw ATV (all terrain vehicle) in the exhibition area in NASCAR on June, I was looking for the place where I could rent ATV. Finally I found it in Chatsworth, NJ.

I arrived at Chatsworth on 1pm. I paid rent of ATV, wear, and entrance fee. Total cost was close to $250. Oh, this is the most expensive leisure for me in U.S.!

As same as NASCAR, there was no Asian or African there, so I seemed to be rare-person. But when the clerk knew I was a Japanese, he wanted to know how ATV was popular in Japan because all of their rental ATV make was Japanese company (especially Kawasaki and Suzuki). I have never ride nor hear about ATV in Japan, I replied ATV wasn't popular in Japan. He seemed to be disappointed, he began to teach me how to ride ATV.

Actually, riding ATV was not so difficult. However, it was very difficult to control it on rough road! There were 4 courses for ATV (beginner, intermediate, advanced, and trail). Of course, I began to ride ATV on beginner course. But even the beginner course was too rough for me, a small child was waiting to pass me at the back of my ATV...

I let him pass me, and watched the difference between his riding and my riding. I realized he was riding with standing on ATV. I rode it with sitting, but it made my riding slow because I couldn't absorb a shock from the rough road.
After this awakening, I could drive ATV faster. I graduated from beginner course, I drove it on other courses. Finally, I could enjoy jumping in advanced course! The key to jump with ATV was keeping axel open on ramp. Jumping was so fun, I kept jumping till the end of day.

But terrible thing was happened on next day. I got terrible muscle ache, especially on my back...
ATV was a fun but tough sport!
